Okay, this is the latest.  A 'Per Cap Resolution' will be made for $2,500. payable on Monday, November 23rd--tribal council  will vote on that the first week of November.  My question is why are they waiting until the 23rd when the 16th would make more sense--call your council members and tell them to vote for the 16th--they have the money already and there is no reason for them to 'hold it back' from us, especially since Avista is coming a few weeks later.  "Space out the payments a little bit', and we could all use it the sooner the better.  Note; Per Cap is 'down' also as we got $3,000. last year at this time.

The resolution went through already and is 'done', already 'signed' in fact--the 'date' could be changed though if people get on council about it is the word also.  Amount is $2,500. payable on Monday, November 23rd.

This last per cap was small and the reasons why are really unknown to this user. I do know that all of us are wondering why but Chief and Matt ain't saying nothing in that regards. A lot of people are calling headquarters and asking "When will the per cap loans will be made available". The date; June 24, Thursday, usual amount.

That will never happen. They'll bring some boring slides to show us-pie charts and all! Then Chief's "second coming of the ndn" Dave Meeks will stand up and tell us how GREAT our casino is doing-all because of him, of course. He'll take credit AGAIN for the managers at the casino that are tribal members-promoted under Dave Matheson, not Dave Meeks. Not a new one in what, 10 years? And he'll go on to lie to us again by telling us, "the per caps will NEVER go down!", even though they have since he was appointed CEO by Chief. And tribal members will believe him AGAIN and not ask questions like, "Dave Meeks....you're an attorney-how does that make you qualified to be the CEO? Especially since you have no business experience?"

Then someone will get up and bitch about whatever director in the tribe has pissed them off and how they should be fired just because that person is mad at them. And the important stuff will go down the drain...per caps, casino, jobs, tribal audits, fairness in our tribe, nepotism, etc.

Then we'll eat cold, crappy casino food and all go home. Happy that the council and the Chairman heard us! Yay!

And the Casino, council and Chairman will go back to business as usual-and no, that's not working to improve tribal members lives-even though they'll say that at the meeting.

Sarcastic? Yes. Pessimistic? Yes. Let's hope I'm not right this time.

i thought the smaller per cap this time around was because of the expansion going on. thats what like 75 million? pretty big chunk of change and i have no idea how much they had reserved for that. if that is the reason i figured its a small investment for the potential long term payoff.

i noticed they put machines at the top of the stairs next to the conference room, that looked like a good use of the space. no idea how much that cost but im sure that will pay for its self.

i stood an looked for a long time at the expansion of the hotel and tried to make sense of the architecture of it all and why is it being built that way. then i thought if it turns out to be a good investment and they want to grow it all they have to do is add 2 more to make a square or rectangle then put a roof on it and now you have a big hotel with the potential to leave the middle part open for a lounge or pool and like alot of hotels they have those high celings that go all the way up to the roof.

looking at it that way the design makes sense and maybe our per caps might dinged again in the future but the long term payoff im thinking will be worth it. last is i hear the griping about the ceos and so on and its hard to take sometimes or most of the time but make a comparison here to what our casinos ceo makes that that number i have forgotten. i think there was some reference to that back during the big upheavle. then look at this web site. http://www.aflcio.org/corporatewatch/paywatch/index.cfm

look under the executive paywatch search - either click on the company name and all companies whose stocks are traded are listed then just pick one or look up your company and there is a way to do a compairison to your ceos pay and yours. my ceo makes over $3000.00 an hour. i dont think meeks makes that much and the tribe has more employees than the company i work for. if you know the stock ticker number you can just put that in and do the same thing.

get gripey about stuff if you want but it looks to me like we got the best stock going. all the rest carve off the fat for them selves and leave the scraps for the people at the bottom.

WHAT TRIBAL MEMBERS REALLY CARE? DO YOU CARE ENOUGH ABOUT OUR TRIBE TO ASK QUESTIONS? ARE YOU AFRAID? NOT INTERESTED ENOUGH? WORK FOR THE TRIBE AND SCARED YOU'LL LOSE YOUR JOB?
ALL THE TRIBAL COUNCIL ARE PRETTY NICE PEOPLE AND I DO LIKE THEM AS PEOPLE. WITH THAT SAID, I JUST EXPECT A MORE OPEN DOOR POLICY, MORE INFORMATION ABOUT MEETINGS/COUNCIL MEETINGS (VOTING ON RESOLUTIONS) FOR TRIBAL MEMBERS TO SEE, MORE HONESTY FROM COUNCIL, AND INPUT FROM TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP ON OUR ENTERPRISES. I WANT A TRIBAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING. WHAT BUSINESS' DO WE HAVE NOW AND HOW MUCH LAND HAVE WE BOUGHT? I HEARD PEOPLE ARE BEING LAID OFF? THE TRIBE HAS BUDGET CUTS TAKING PLACE? WHY CAN'T THE TRIBAL NEWSPAPER BE FOUND ONLINE? I WANT A 'NEW WAY' OF THINKING FOR ALL THE TRIBAL MEMBERS AND ASK THE COUNCIL TO TAKE THE LID OFF AND LET'S START DEALING WITH THE TRUTH. WHY DON'T PEOPLE WANT TO DEAL WITH THE TRUTH?
I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE BUSINESS' THAT THE MEMBERSHIP ISN'T PRIVY TO. WHEN WILL WE EXPECT TO SEE A RETURN ON THOSE INVESTMENTS? WHO OVERSEES THE CASINO PEOPLE WITH THE CHECKS AND BALANCES ON THE CASINO EXPANSION. I AM A TRIBAL MEMBER WHO CARES. WHO'S WITH ME?
