Attention All Users:

This is a totally objective site. This is a neutral meeting ground. This is the place we we all meet. This is a place that will let you voice your own biased opinions safely. This is a place where hopefully the elected leaders will be able to look at and guage the opinions of the people in all their moods, and in all their truths. This is a place for the elected leaders to look at to see what untruths are lurking among the people. This is a true measure of how you feel about somebody. It does not replace you working out differences between you and an elected leader. It does replace having to continually walk on egg shells around everyone because you told somebody how ridiculous their decision was. It should be a place that exercises honesty, integrity, and politeness within reason. I say politeness within reason because there really are feelings that we don't own. There are feelings of anger that do not belong to us. There are feelings of being let down that do not belong to us. Sometimes decisions made without our consent or in contrast to our belief or consent generate those feelings that do not belong to us. Send the feelings back to the person who made the poor decision. If you can't do it directly, then do it here...and keep your job. Is it anonymous? Sure it is. It is as anonymous as the water cooler. It is as anonymous as the Thursday Club night out. It is as anonmous as the breakfast table on Saturday Morning. The names are anonymous here, but they are probably already known to the relatives of the anonymous people here. Why should that be an important point? Because as an elected leader, if you're lurking in the background, you should know that there is no honesty like anonymous honesty. It is a no holds barred measure of: TELL ME HOW YOU REALLY FEEL!!! p.s. let's keep it real, no defamatory comments (that means libel and slander) If we can prove your statements are not true, then don't say them. Do not attack character, only attack decisions, or lack of character or culture, or lack of morals. Make the statements, and then to make your statements worth reading, let's see some suggestions for how to fix them. The point is, let's all participate, the more ideas for how we fix things, the better chance we have of fixing them. Thanks to the site administrator for setting up the site.

Hi...first time visitor here! A friend from U of I sent me here to check it out. Good Idea!! A Nimiipuu Blog site!! I have been spending my time on the new paraskins website. Some hot words there...makes for fun reading. They encourage respectfulness, but open criticism on wrongdoings. It was banned by NPTEC the other day!! It was banned? I thought only the Chinese and cda censored websites? And now the Nez Perce too? What are our tribe's coming to? Aren't these forums just like our general meetings anywayz?

Part of the reason it was banned by the tribe is that a lot of the things being posted are rumor and inuendo. People trying to slander current leaders. It's one thing to criticize, it's another to get into dirty politics and mudslinging. I work for the tribe & am a commissioner for one the the boards. I know what's going on yet I won't just listen to the rumors. I want to see facts backing these things being posted. That's what I like about this board. At least to this point I've seen integrity and honesty in the posts. Not the he said she said bull.
